There are many parts of the Dog House you can find in other pubs around London, but this Kennington boozer pulls them all together and gets it just right. The Dog House is not exceptional, it simply hits the nail on the head across the board time and time again. From the run-down chic aesthetic to the strong beer selection and excellent pub garden, there are no chinks in the Dog House's armour.
This is a well-known spot among south London residents as a premium place to watch live football -- on big game days the garden will be rammed with jersey wearers making use of the well-placed big screens.
With a strong food offering, the Dog House has ample seating on a hot summer's day, with rows of benches lining the street in addition to the main pub garden. In winter this spot doubles up as a cosy corner, with a two-sided bar and its eccentric interior making for a lovely nook to get out of the rain.
"The Nell Gwynne Tavern" is my favourite pub in the whole of London's West End. Dickensian, a country pub in the heart of the city -- it's both combined!

"Riding House Cafe" in London is a hunting lodge restaurant, not something I'd expect to see just off Oxford Street. Protip: share the food with friends!
