In all its Tudor Grandeur this pub really stands out on the Thames. When you venture as far down the river Thames as this the scenery changes dramatically. Not a landmark or shiny skyscraper in sight, the river is wider and both sides are much greener than downstream.
The White Hart is a beautiful pub and the epitome of "classic contemporary", very tastefully decorated with a big circular bar in the centre of the high ceilinged downstairs room. There is a long balcony with table that runs the length of the pub and opens up to a little courtyard seating area where there is a BBQ throughout the warmer months of the year serving some interesting dishes such as fish cooked in banana leaf and Coca Cola smoked pulled pork.
Enjoy the riverside tables to soak up the sun best, with the reflection of the water you're bound to get a great tan on the go whilst sipping a cold beer, you'd be forgiven in thinking that you were a lot further away from the centre of town!
