Cookies n' Cream, Honey Boba, Passion Fruit Slush - this isn’t your usual tea house! If you happen to make your way to Monterey Park, Half & Half Tea Express is a treat to try. The options are endless!
Half & Half is known for originating Iced Milk Drinks and hot honey boba (imported from Taiwan). If you're new to boba drinks, here's a quick background. Boba drinks originated in Taiwan. Boba are chewy, gummy like tapioca balls that are put in the drinks. Additional items available are: pudding, taro, red bean, and even peanuts! If the idea of having a food like substance in your beverage doesn’t appeal to you, you can place an order without boba. Half and Half also offers fruit flavored teas, milk teas, slushes, smoothies, and more.
They are so popular (voted Top 5 Tea House) that there’s usually a line and a 10 minute wait. I typically spend that time looking at the menu of over a hundred items trying to decide what to get! If you're with friends you can chat the time away…or make a new friend. I sometimes like to ask the person next to me what their favorite item is and go with that!
This location is designed as an "express" spot; it's small, but since most people get drinks to go you might be lucky and find a place to sit outside. Half & Half has expanded to have 8 locations - see their website for details.
CASH only.
