On the Anniversary of his death, I'm sharing the final resting place of the King of Pop: Michael Jackson,
With over 750 million records sold globally, his influence is undeniable, and Forest Lawn Memorial is the place for fans to pay tribute. Growing up, I loved his music. Like millions around the world, he showed me how to dance with more rhythm than the average white girl. He added style to climate still grappling with prejudice, and taught the world that talent outshines the preconceived notion of skin color.
Located in the lush hills of Glendale, Forest Lawn is renowned for its stunning architecture, landscapes and Renaissance art. It's the only place in the greater city of LA where this much open land exists. The grounds feature elaborate sculptures and serene gardens, making it the perfect place for reflection and remembrance. Read my full article about Forest Lawn here.
Directions to Get There: Navigate to Forest Lawn Glendale. He's in the Great Mausoleum. On the Holy Terrace. You'll see all the flowers/pictures on him and know you're in the right place.
Visiting Michael Jackson’s grave at Forest Lawn is more than just paying respect. It is an opportunity to connect with the spirit of music's greatest icon and fans alike. Whether you're a lifelong fan or simply curious, the experience can be profound. Take a moment to walk through the tranquil grounds, reflect on his art/legacy, and honor the King of Pop in a place dedicated to cherishing his memory.
