Unsurprisingly, Luxembourg is one of the most multicultural countries in the world (if not the most!) and the Stater Maart market is a small sample of that.
Right in the center of the city, in front of Hamillus, one of the main bus and tram stations in the capital, the open-air market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday (except holidays) and has more than 30 traders.
I love to look for natural seasonings and spices, and there is a stand just for that. There are also fresh cheeses, charcuterie, roast chicken, Turkish, Greek, Portuguese and Spanish food, natural fermentation bread, several stands of organic fruits and vegetables, flowers and diverse plants, vegan products and many other things. It's a delicious mix of flavors and culture.
The market extends for a few blocks, so you can enjoy the tour and visit the historic and beautiful center of the capital, and the famous Notre-Dame Cathedral and La Place de la Constitution (we spotted everything for you).
And one last thing, bring your bag with you!! Remember that Luxembourg has a very strong ecological appeal, so please contribute!
