The world of wines is an endless rabbit hole. From old world to new world wines, Europe, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States the humble grape has been squeezed, fermented and turned into a beautiful bottle of vino.

Most places in Malmo would serve you the basic Cabernet Sauv, Merlot or Pinot, but if you’ve been bitten by the vivino bug, and find yourself scanning and recording every wine you drink, then L’Enoteca is the perfect place for you.

Walk into a cozy little bar with an entire library of wine bottles on the wall behind the counter, sorted by price per glass and bottle. The bar is dimly lit, with dripping candles housed in finished wine bottles (of course, what else does one do with all those bottles). Given the exquisite selection, the wine prices are a little steep, but then again, you’re paying for a true experience and the knowledge of the sommeliers behind the counter. The kitchen at the back is small but churns out incredible dishes and an exquisite cheese board paired with a smokey chestnut honey, a berry compote and a fine array of soft and hard cheeses from Scandinavia and France.

Most of the staff behind the bar is either a well trained sommelier, or passionate about their craft with a WSET Wines and Spirits exam. For the true experience, go in, describe your taste and preferences, and sit back and wait to be surprised. You will not be disappointed.
