A nice pub around the corner from where you live is essential. However, when the said pub has a nice mix of craft beers, and a dedicated refrigerator reserved for Belgian beers, you know that you’ve hit the jackpot.

Peas and Honey is just that. A centrally located Pub, a short walk from the bustle of Gamla Staden, and tucked away in the residential neighborhood around Caroli, Peas and Honey sees a diverse crowd. From the young groups looking to get their basic lagers to beer aficionados on the lookout for a Duvel, Westmalle, or Orval – this little watering hole caters to all.

If you’re looking for something even less common, they even have mead – humanity’s most primitive form of beer – with a modern twist. They have a delicious apricot mead from Norwegian Mjoderiet or then more classic IPA’s, Lagers and German wheat beers.

The food comes out of a small kitchen in the back, but the portion sizes are good enough to share and carry you through an evening of drinking out with friends. The Mussles, Swedish Raggmunk and the Gravad Lax are quintessential to this spot. For something more commonplace, they do a huge portion of fries, served with a delicious aioli and homemade tomato ketchup which combines the flavors of a barbecue and Worcestershire sauce.

If you’re in the neighborhood, and looking to get away from the crowd, Peas and Honey will surely be the perfect spot.
