Café Regina is named after the street on which it is located. Regina Street is the best example of the recovery of our city. Only some years ago, it was a dangerous street that one would avoid. Now, it is one of the most vital streets of Centro Histórico, especially at night. At this café you will find delicious pastries - my favorite is the cinnamon roll - but their specialty is waffles, both salty and sweet. Besides that, the coffee they have is good and they do offer a variety of tea as well.
If you decide to visit this place, take some time to walk along the street. This area has become an important spot for street artists, so you will find a wide variety of stencils and murals done by different Latin American artists. On this walk, you will notice all the cafés, bars and restaurants this street has to offer, but none of them offer the warm, cozy atmosphere of Café Regina.
