Café Vegetal is one of my favorite coffee shops in Narvarte - at a walking distance of Metro/Metrobus Etiopía. Café Vegetal is very small, one can almost miss it if you're walking around distracted. I would recommend that, if you have the time—and if there is a seat available— you stay and enjoy what you order in one of the two small tables outside. However, their coffee and cakes are so good, taking them to go is just as good.
Their sweet bread is delicious and perfect for a rainy day in the city. I recommend the semi-bitter water chocolate (you can order it hot or cold) and the traditional Mexican concha or a slice of coffee cake.
Of course, what distinguishes Café Vegetal from all the other small cafés in Narvarte or even in CDMX is that everything they bake and serve is vegan. You can also order (with two days in advance) a complete cake to take home for a celebration or just because you felt like it.
