I visited Chomp Chomp for the first time in 2014 and I still remember the taste of that milkshake. They have an interesting menu of eccentric milkshakes with funny and creative names. Aguakaty Perry: a milkshake with milk, malt, avocado, vanilla ice-cream and rosemary, and Snoopy: a mix of red berries, ice-cream and peanut butter. They are all delicious.
Chomp Chomp milkshakes can be vegan or non-vegan. There’s also a huge menu of warm homemade cookies to complete the experience. Every month there are seasonal milkshakes and cookies according to the holiday, so there’s a sweet monthly surprise. The place itself is as sweet as the milkshakes -- it’s a small store with flowery wallpaper and vintage furniture that creates a fairytale-like atmosphere.
Because it's a small place, you have to be patient and wait for a table. There’s also a small to-go shop at Río Ebro 89 (Cuauhtémoc). Writing this article makes my mouth water but it’s late and rainy and Chomp Chomp is closed right now...
