After being on lockdown for a couple of months, last week I was finally ready to get back to one my favorite weekend habits, aka Sunday brunch. While Milan has endless excellent and traditional "cappuccino and brioche" type of places, it doesn't have the same array of offerings for brunch. Let's face it, brunch is more of a North American tradition and Europe has only recently jumped on the bandwagon. That's why I get overly excited when I find delicious traditional brunch place in Milan.
Ofelé is a bistrot bakery and also one of my favorite pancake spots in town. Everything is homemade, and from the dishes to the decor, you will feel right at home. This place takes pancakes to the next level and I would definitely suggest that you try one of their special savoury pancakes. My favorite is definitely the one with lox! The brunch menu includes a hot and a cold beverage and a cold one and I would definitely recommend one of their organic fruit smoothies. If this isn't enough, the brunch menu also includes one of their delicious homemade baked goods!
This place is also open for lunch and dinner, which I must confess I still need to try. The cozy decor will make you feel like you are having dinner at your friend's house, who also happens to be a gifted interior designer...
