The digital realm is growing faster than Lightspeed and record sales are going down the drain. Some will say it's a shame, but for me the real issue is the art of buying music. There is nothing like having a local specialist to chat with about new and old finds. In the last years, most record stores in Montreal had to shut down; Atom Heart is one of the last hubs in town.
Selling both vinyls and CD's, this place is full of fresh gems and dusty classics. Style wise, you can find rock, folk, ambient, techno, house, dubstep, you name it!
They've been around since '99 so all the disk jockeys like myself are very familiar with what they have to offer; good service and great prices. Raymond is the guy to talk to, if you need help finding a record or even make a special order. They also know all about the shows in town, which makes this place a must for all music aficionados.
