After having passed Kouign Amann (check the Kouign Aman article), on my way to the subway, I stopped on the sidewalk at La Distributrice. An original and stylish cubbyhole, tucked under the stairs of Mont-Royal Avenue, I love it! There have been so many different businesses in that gap, this one is clearly here to stay. Everything about this place is beautiful: from the wooden interior to the branding and packaging, this place has style! And the higher mention goes to the exquisite coffee taste, texture and warmth.
In winter as in summer, the barista serves through his little window one of three types of coffee: latte, americano or espresso (ice version in summer), at a very good cost. Coffee to go!
I am pleased to see that more and more often there is a queue. In the short wait - they are fast these baristas! - we listen to the musical selection straight from the speaker in the street. The owner even fitted the small space outside with a wooden bench and greenery. It's tasteful, delicious, and welcoming!
