Style Labo is actually a trend laboratory. It is the perfect place to buy something I don't really need but that will just brighten up my day, my apartment or even my life! Design is an important part of how I live and I think such places like these are essential for a sane journey. I just can't get enough of true design spots and slowly but surely, they are coming to town.
It's not easy to describe the kind of stuff you can grab but let's call it industrial chic, or even dark nostalgia. Among many items, you could find an old bowling ball, vintage pictures transformed as postcards, tiny or huge metal letters, vintage stamps, a blue metal lunch box, an ex-USSR Flag...you get my drift. So yes a lot of old/vintage finds, but some new and fresh designs as well. My recent finds were a puffy frame from XXX and old Helvetica printing blocks.
Style Labo is a bit pricey but even if you don't end up buying anything it's totally worth the visit; spending some time there is definitely very inspiring and candy for the eyes.
