Okay, first things first: these guys are serious about coffee. They were one of the first third wave coffee places in Moscow, and they still are one of the best. Whether you choose alternative brewing methods (chemex, kalita, v60), espresso, or an espresso-based drink, you will get a damn fine, expertly-brewed cup. LES uses locally roasted beans, and you get to choose from a few varieties.
Coffee is enjoyable on its own, but if you're in the mood for something decadent, there is a range of sweet and savory pastries to choose from (hint: the brownie is devilishly good). They also sell nut butters from local producers (with the cutest-ever labels), so I always have to resist the urge to buy a jar, get a spoon and start eating it right away.
Last but not the least, the place is perfectly located to offer you some caffeine when you need it. Whether you want to sit back and relax sipping a cappuccino after your visit to Museum of Moscow, or looking to grab a cup of joe before you head to Gorky Park — LES is your spot.
