Have you been under the misconception that wine and cycling don't mix? Well, let Rouleur prove you wrong!
Rouleur is located in St Hanshaugen, a relaxed hipster-lite area close to town, and combines a cozy bar/cafe with a bike workshop next door. The bar itself also pays homage to the classic bike races, with vintage posters from the Tour de France and Paris-Roubier. The workshop takes care of all repairs, big and small, in addition to renting out custom-made Norwegian bikes and guided tours in Oslo's hills.
The wine list is short, with a focus on the classics, and my beer drinking friends are also very happy with what is on offer. They also have a small number of cocktails, the signature being "Nordmarka", inspired by the hills around Oslo.
I love the relaxed vibe here, in the summer the door is propped open and people mill around on the pavement outside whereas in winter its cozy and warm inside, helped by the atmospheric fireplace.
Tip - perfect for a drink before a meal at nearby Smalhans
