Just a block from 30th Street Station in an unassuming parking garage, get on the elevator and take it 11 floors up. Exit, walk up a set of stairs and then, ta-da! Grass, trees, and incredible views of the city!
This urban park situated on top of a parking garage is the perfect place to get away from the concrete below. Open year-round, I like to come here for the sunny lawn and the small dog run during the colder months. Then, from May to September there are tons of events hosted at the park like movies, yoga, lawn games and beer gardens.
My partner and I have had several amazing dates here - we love to bring a blanket and hang out on the lawn to watch the sunset. There are panoramic views of Center City and the Schuylkill River.
The on-site restaurant Sunset Social is open during the warmer months and serves burgers and cocktails. Usually Parks on Tap visits Cira Green once or twice a season to host food trucks and a beer garden.
