For us Southern folk in the city that want to get our bowling on you don't need to travel all the way up to the amazing North Bowl. We got South Bowl. If you read Rob Hall's article on North Bowl (check the article "North Bowl") you might have an idea about what this place is going to be like.Â
South Bowl has the video games and the specials just like North Bowl does but it's quite a bit bigger than North Bowl with 26 lanes compared to the North's 17. You can still have the semi-private experience of the upstairs as well. I don't know about North Bowl but sometimes you have to be careful when you come as they do have leagues which I have run into a few times. South bowl also offers a nice warehouse feel with that personal touch you can only get at a bowling alley.Â
After 21:00 they are also 21+ only, so it turns into adult time pretty quickly! If you want to have a party, come with a few friends, or just get in some personal bowling time and you live in the Southern portion of Philly, South Bowl is a great option.Â
