Finding brunch spots in Philly is not really that hard to do, but finding outstanding brunch spots that make you want to come back over and over again is a bit harder. Winnie's is a unique brunch spot because they are also known for having incredible baked goods as well. They will prove it to you too because every time you sit down to dine here they will bring you a variety of their baked breads. One of my favorites is the cornbread.
They also provide homemade jams to go on their breads. And this is all for free. If that is not a reason to make you want to visit this great spot, then check out the menu. I have only been for brunch but they offer lunch and dinner as well. All of the ingredients are fresh and they have a wide variety on their menu.
The restaurant is located in Manayunk just down the Schuylkill river. If that is just too far for you to go, you can also go to their Le Bus Bakery in Rittenhouse Square. That location is only breads and sandwiches to go so I highly recommend you make the effort and check out their main restaurant, Winnie's.
