Mafalda's was a nice surprise that came after a day of working at Manifesto and enjoying Matosinhos Market - have you read my Porto Spotted By Locals articles about them here? According to their Facebook page: "Mafalda's is what everyone wants - a tearoom, a spot for tasty meals or a slice of cake and a glass of wine in the afternoon".
There, you can find a daily menu for €6 (dish of the day, natural juice, and a soup) and a daily tarte menu (tarte and salad, natural juice, soup, and French fries) for €5. Besides that, you can find some sweets and salty pastries to take away, coffees, toasts, finger foods and brunch (starting every Saturday at 12:30 and ending when there's no more food left) for €12.50. Stay tuned to their Facebook page because they post the daily menu there. Usually, they have a vegetarian option on the menu, but send them a message asking about it to be sure. If you're vegan, it is better for you to ask them about vegan options.
At different times of the day, for different reasons, this is a nice place for you to go, have a fresh and delicious meal and relax after your day's discoveries in this part of the city.
