I have known Velasquez coffee shop since I have known myself. It's older than me. This coffee shop is a big reference point in Porto and it's on Velasquez square, near the Dragão stadium.
I have been there a lot of times. When I was a little boy, my father would invite me to go there with him and my mum would have breakfast together in the morning or a coffee during the night after dinner. Usually my breakfast here was toast with butter and a coffee with milk. I remember asking for the autographs of Porto football team players.
Inside the building there is a stationery store and I remember when I was a kid I would buy my collectible World Cup cards there.
When I was young, I remember that it was common to see people from the football world here or from the government. Because it's such a well-known cafe and because it's near Dragão stadium, it's also common to see many Porto supporters meet here before or after games to have a meal or a snack.
When I go to the stadium and then visit this coffee shop, I usually have a steak on bread accompanied by a beer.
