This article is especially exciting to write! It is about a scenic viewpoint that just got installed a few weeks ago.
Nebušice is one of those city quarters that is very close to the centre yet is surrounded by nature. It has historically been a higher classes quarter and you can really see it once you get there: clean roads, lots of trees and beautiful architecture.
The viewpoint itself is a part of the Design & Build program of Prague's Faculty of Architecture, which is based on an idea of students designing and building an entire project.
The idea behind the sculpture/playground-looking structure is an eye framing the view of the center of Nebušice on one side and the planes taking off at Prague's airport on the other. It has been designed with lots of different ideas regarding its usage, so don't be afraid to explore. Lie down inside it or get on top and watch the sunset from above. And the best part? It also works as a swing, so if there's more of you, release your inner child and get swinging!
