Baguetteria del Fico is an excellent spot for a casual meal (sandwich, charcuterie, bruschetta) or an aperitivo near Piazza Novana. It's on small quiet street with outdoor tables that are perfect when the weather is nice and just far enough from the bustle to really relax and savor your meal. There are also a few indoor tables that are nice for a quicker lunch.
What sets Baguetteria del Fico apart is the attention to accompaniments, with many of the sauces and garnishes prepared on site. The bread on the sandwiches is very soft and allows all of the flavors to stand out. Some of the signature items are creative bruschette inspired by Roman pasta sauces (carbonara, amatriciana, cacio e pepe) in “bruschetta” form, which is a fun alternative. They also offer many craft beers, which you don't see a lot of in central Rome spots.
