About me

About me
I’m a travel blogger and I write about unconventional destinations, abandoned places, street art, outskirts, urban landscapes, weird spots and basically all the places I happen to visit and become very enthusiastic about.

Why Rome?
My blog allows me to feel like a traveller in my hometown, which therefore I love for all its inhabitants that I haven’t met yet, all its corners I haven’t seen and all the infinite possibilities that are tumbling in the familiar surroundings, making it always full of potential for discovery.

Where can you find me online?

Flower Market

Where florists buy flowers

"Flower Market" Rome is where florists buy their flowers. Now this age-old question can be put to rest! It still has a lot of its old-fashioned charm...

Sanba

Street art at San Basilio

"Sanba" San Basilio is in the north-eastern outskirts of Rome. Its aim is to redesign this shifty neighborhood using the street art skills of its populace

Palazzo della Cancelleria

And its hidden lake

"Palazzo della Cancelleria" not only has a Leonardo Da Vinci machine exhibition - it has a real Roman underground lake tomb, hidden beneath the crowds...

Museo della Mente

The Museum of Psychiatry

"Museo della Mente", a former mental asylum, is today Rome's Museum of Psychiatry. The aspect I love the most about it is the interactivity of the exhibits

Garbatella

The hood with a truly Roman atmosphere

"Garbatella" Rome was made in the '20s to be a garden city - today, my favorite thing to do there is to move from one connected courtyard to the next!

The Mosque

A world apart from this Catholic city

"The Mosque" Rome is the only Islamic temple in the city and the largest mosque in Europe. I simply love the interiors, decorated with beautiful mosaics.

Mercato Testaccio

A trendy food market

"Mercato Testaccio" is the original foodie neighborhood of Rome. My favorite street food kiosks here are 'Mordi e vai' and 'Romeo', for different reasons.

Chiesa della Natività del Gesù

Sounds of Africa

"Chiesa della Natività del Gesù" is where the Congolese community in Rome celebrates mass every Sunday. I truly find it atmospheric, a true tribute to life
