Buddy is a cozy and trendy high-quality vegan restaurant located near Piazza Novona. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, reservations on the weekend are recommended.
At Buddy they serve breakfast, lunch, dinner or have an aperitif. Some menu items are made with soy products like tofu and tempeh, but what I like best are the house-made options that are creatively prepared with veggies. The chickpea and lentil "meatballs" with beetroot hummus make for a vibrantly colored and tasting dish.
The Buddy Bowl has a fennel carpaccio that is a light and refreshing meal, especially when paired with one of the organic wines. Buddy is a must-try for vegan and vegetarian diners, but even meat eaters will not go away hungry with these reinvented Italian classic dishes.
