Coffee Cantata was in my path as I was in San Francisco post-lunch waiting for a flight to Ireland. Everyone knows that one MUST have coffee after lunch, so I went in search of a hot cup of Joe.
While one would think that this small, unassuming coffee shop would be just a regular coffee stop, it has drinks, food items, and all sorts of goodies to tempt even the most discerning palette. They have breakfast mains like burritos, bagels, and coffee drinks with cool names like Audrey Hepburn, Frank Sinatra, Madonna, John Lennon, and James Joyce. Are you sensing a theme here? All these drinks can be served hot or iced as your mood dictates. They also have regular old coffee, espresso, flavored coffee, and Italian Soda. Lest I forget, they also have Alfajores! Be still my heart! I feel like singing “Cheek to Cheek” — heaven, I’m in heaven… but I digress.
Everything here is top quality, hands down. The food, cookies, and snack items are fresh, and the staff is exceptional. The owners are very nice as well. So, next time you need a coffee break post-lunch or anytime really, stop here. Your tastebuds will love you forever.
Go. You know you want to.
