As a young girl, I often watched the romantic comedies that took place in San Francisco. I thought, “Wow, what a beautiful city full of lovers.” When I eventually moved to San Francisco, I understand its beauty on a more visceral level. And when I first checked out Alamo Square, I felt like I instantly wanted to go on a date there! Ha!
Aside from the heart's desires and perfect soundtrack cues, Alamo Square is a delightful park to take in the glorious San Francisco cityscape. It also is a spot to get a yummy coffee from a charming women’s coffee company called Lady Falcon Coffee Club. They converted a 1940s bread truck into a vessel to sell their coffee to the park goers. This vintage truck is a perfect addition to the park on select days.
You really couldn’t ask for a better setup for a planned day with a friend or a lover. Just pack up a picnic blanket and grab an iced latte and enjoy people-watching and the amazing view. Either way, you will find yourself in love with this spot.
