If you’re looking for a coffee shop in Seattle to hunker down in and work on your laptop for hours... ETG Coffee is not the place. However if you’re on the hunt for a quick, delicious espresso drink and pastry on the way to your next adventure, there’s no better shop in the neighborhood.
This tiny hole-in-the-wall (with only one table inside, which I’ve never seen unoccupied) is just down the street from The Statue Of Lenin in Fremont. It’s my favorite place to grab an americano before heading to work, or the Sunday Fremont Market. The antique decor and large chandelier make it incredibly charming, and the baristas are quick and friendly, even when the line extends out the door.
Be sure to try a baked-in-house sweet! I’ve had an oatmeal cranberry pecan cookie and a raspberry scone that both made me cry from deliciousness. Plus their to-go coffee beans have some of the quirkiest branding I’ve seen in the city, and make awesome gifts.
