Seattle is hugely into Asian foods and especially into sushi. Umi Sake House is the most popular and also my favorite fusion sushi place in Seattle. Surprisingly, it’s very popular for being a vegetarian-friendly sushi place. They also have a huge collection of sake and their servers are very knowledgeable while guiding you through ordering different kinds of sake. I love their sake martinis, especially the ginger and mint flavor ones.

In terms of food, they are the best in Seattle for rolls. Their menu has almost 30-40 different kind of rolls. My favorites include Tarantula Extreme, Moonraker, Ultimate Dragon and Mango Tango. One more thing, which is amazing about this place, is that they have really good vegetarian rolls as well. Their Green Decadence roll is very popular and tasty. Their menu also includes some Japanese street style appetizers, such as spicy Ginger Chicken, Yakisoba noodles, Spicy Tofu, Tempura, and many more.

Their location is huge, with three different seating sections. The most inner section is wide open with some trees inside – that’s where I always try to get a table, as it’s very refreshing to sit there. It’s always good to get a reservation here since they are very popular and always full. They also have one traditional Japanese lower seating table for parties of more than 6, which is fun to experience.
