As a part of the subculture scene, comics have had a great influence on young people for many generations. In the '80s and '90s, these master pieces were a great passion for many readers, who have great respect for drawing and writing. But then there was a gap, when generations who were born in the late '90s and the beginning of the '00s were not interested in this kind of literature. However, as always happens when something has great value and is made with passion, it will find a way to touch people's souls again and again. That’s how “Bunker” was made, a comics-only book store in Skopje.

The owners have brought to life the popularity of comics again and more and more people visit this store to buy some old-school and newly made comic books. I love when I am there surrounded by all that art, looking for comics from the great masters like Hugo Pratt or some “written” by Macedonian artists.

I always return home with several purchases which I enjoy a lot. But when I am there, I can feel how I melt in all those black & white or color stories, genius humor, brilliant satire and admirable characters. This is the spot where everything is possible!
