Rock Bar Krug sits in the heart of Aerodrom at the open mall Biser, around three kilometers from the city center. For a full twenty five years it has held its ground while bars and pubs came and went.
Krug was founded by Lazar Popovski, one of the first Macedonian Olympians, who brought together his love for sport, music, and community under one roof. Even the name carries a story. It is an homage to one of the most legendary ex-Yu bands, EKV, and their timeless song “Krug.”
The vibe is proudly local. Inside, you will find vintage posters, worn-in corners, and a bar team that remembers how you take your coffee. Some evenings it is soft light and conversation over classic rock. Other nights turn lively with indie, alternative, and old school sets from resident DJs, and every now and then a live act that turns the floor into a small neighborhood festival.
If you want to avoid overpriced pubs in the center and feel the real Skopje charm with cheap beer and warm locals, we believe that Krug is the place to go. It is the kind of spot where first-timers quickly feel like regulars, where you can start the day with espresso and end it with a cold pint.
