Here is one of the beautiful facades in the center of Sofia, which has existed since 2016. It is a large painting from the popular Bulgarian artist Nasimo best known for his huge graffiti masterpieces on several facades in the city. His monumental work can be seen in all the Balkan countries, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Poland, Portugal, Turkey, Russia, Canada, India, and even China.
The name of this one is 'Дар божий' (Dar Bozhiy, which means Gift of God), representing Rada—a young woman wearing traditional Bulgarian clothing called 'nosiya' and various festive accessories. It is a fascinating example of local tradition through the lens of modern street art. I'm only showing you a small part of the painting here, so if you want to see the whole picture and enjoy its majesty, you need to visit the place.
This graffiti was created over four days and was commissioned by the owners of Sun and Moon, a very popular local chain for vegetarian food. One of their spots is located right beside the painting.
You don't need to be a street art fan to appreciate the masterpiece on this facade, so if you are in the area (or around NDK Park), go check it out, and don't miss the chance to buy something from the bakery.
P.S. I recommend you to check out Sun and Moon restaurant with delicious vegetarian dishes located on the Malkite Pet Kyosheta (The Small Five corners).
