One of the really good contemporary and conceptual galleries in Sofia is located on Tsar Ivan Shishman Street close to Narodno Sabranie Square. Usually people miss it because the entrance is not located on the street level and there are a couple of small flights of stairs that you need to take.
Testa Gallery presents the trends in the area of ceramics, porcelain and jewelry and their desire is to stimulate the public perception towards contemporary art and design objects.
At first, the gallery’s priority was to present and show the work of Bulgarian artists, but lately in Testa Gallery a lot of art object by foreigners can be seen as well.
The space is small and consists of two parts where the front one has exhibitions of contemporary art collections and the second one is for annual events.
What I really like is that the place is always well curated and presents high-class and stylish art objects. And the good thing is that you can buy whatever you like from the exhibition!
