Delicatessen is the name of the shop that sells meat products under the brand name "Delicatessen", or at least that's how it all started. Currently the shop sells many other types of products and brands and all they have in common is the quality.
The Delicatessen brand is mainly focused on selling various meat products - most of them being traditional Bulgarian delicacies including some rare or long forgotten products. Most of products being sold have been manufactured in Bulgaria or in the neighbouring countries and are quite interesting for anybody from around the world.
If you like to consume healthy food and by that I don't mean some strange modern combinations, but rather good tasting food, manufactured in a traditional way with the least possible artificial additives then you will certainly like this place.
Their dried sausage and salami like selection is quite extensive and almost everything I've tried is good, but I particularly like "Banski but". They also bake bread on the spot and could even make you a sandwich with their selection of salami and fresh bread.
There are shelves loaded with just about anything that is of higher quality than normal, such as jams, coffee, confectionary, etc. The quality comes with a higher price tag of course, so be prepared to pay extra for their products.

The meatballs are usually served with cabbage salad, lyutenitsa dip & fries. As a Bulgarian, I find kyufte to be a comforting dish that never disappoints.
