Indian restaurant Kohinoor opened in 2008 in Sofia and has since offered excellent Indian food in Sofia. I'm quite a curry lover and have tried Indian food all over the world - mainly in the UK and US. Kohinoor definitely offers one of the best curries that I have ever tried.
The restaurant is located on a small street in the city center of Sofia - very close to NDK. The menu is extensive and offers pretty much what you would expect from an Indian restaurant, such as samos & pakoras for starters, tandoori dishes (Indian BBQ), various curry dishes with chicken, lamb, fish and prawns. There is a large selection of vegetarian choices too.
It is hard to recommend any particular dish as I like so many of them, but if you don't like your food to be too spicy it is best to go with butter chicken, anjuna chicken and if you prefer medium spiced dishes, chicken madras would be your choice. If you are a hardcore Indian lover - then definitely try the Goa vindaloo dishes - they are intense and full of flavour, but beware - it is only for people with lots of experience.
