Spotter since 2019
About me
I am originally from Albania. I have studied and worked in tourism my whole life (not a very long time, I was born in 1995).
At some point, I knew I needed a change in my life so I decided to travel around. I also lived in Italy for a while after deciding to settle (for now) in Barcelona.
I have a lot of interests like reading, music, hiking, yoga, going to concerts and so on, but as Oscar Wilde said: "To define is to limit", so I'll let you get an idea from my articles.
Why Barcelona
It is the classic story, I moved here in 2017 and fell in love with the city. There are many obvious reasons to love Barcelona, it is indeed one of the most amazing cities in the world. But I fell in love with the less obvious things like the hidden corners, the not so pretty parts, the way people go about their everyday lives and the way the city keeps standing strong despite all the problems it faces. I hope that through my articles I can show you a little part of what I see every day.
Where else can you find me online?
"CCCB", or the Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona has a lot of temporary exhibitions. I love going there on Sundays, when it's free to enter...

"Diobar" in Barcelona hosts different events almost every day, and the parties do not start before at least 23:00. Pick a night and it's gonna be great!

"El Tio Che" in Poblenou is considered by many locals (including myself!) as the best horchateria in Barcelona. I also think the ice-creams are a must-try.

"Bar El Tomàs de Sarrià" in Barcelona is said to make some of the best patatas bravs in the city. Tastes vary, of course, but I do tend to agree...

"Cafè Adonis 1940" in Barcelona immediately felt like home. Maybe it's the wooden interior, the staff, the hanging fairy lights, but I just love it there.

"Chök The Chocolate Kitchen" in Barcelona is one of my favorites spaces compltely dedicated to chocolate. You should definitely try their truffles...

"Euskal Etxea" is a great option for when you want to go out to eat in Barcelona. Cheap, delicious and with a nice variety of Basque pinchos (tapas).

"Re-Read" is my favorite second-hand bookshop in Barcelona. It's very inviting, with its warm lights & stacks upon stacks of books. Up to 5 books for 10€!
