Slakthuset is a nightclub situated in an old slaughterhouse in Stockholm’s meatpacking district. Just one stop with the metro out of the town you’ll find this gem which turns into a must-go during the summer months. Then Slakthuset opens up their brilliant outdoor rooftop club – and will from here on mostly go by the name Slakthustaket (slaughterhouse roof).
Rooftop clubs are very exotic to us Swedes who have such few warm months every year – so you can guess that this kind of place makes us very much alive (and maybe a bit crazy too).
Various DJs are playing until 3 am and the bar serves burgers and drinks, and you’ll enjoy the evening sun all the way until it sets. When I was here last time, we arrived to a reggaeton daytime party, which a couple of hours later switched to a DJ playing electronic music all night long. A mix for all tastes, so to speak.
