Slakthuset is a nightclub situated in an old slaughterhouse in Stockholm’s meatpacking district. Just two stops with the metro out of the town you’ll find this unpretentious gem that turns into a must-go during the summer months. Then Slakthuset opens up their outdoor rooftop club – and will from here on mostly go by the name “Slaktistaket” (slaughterhouse roof).
Various DJs are playing their sounds until 3 am during the weekends, whilst you’ll enjoy the evening sun all the way until it sets. When I was here last time, we arrived at a reggaeton daytime party, which a couple of hours later switched to a DJ playing electronic music all night long. A mix for all tastes, so to speak.
They seem to have a pretty non-Swedish “take it as it comes” mentality, and the opening days and hours is varying. So a good tip is to keep yourself updated on their social media!
