Paper Mill Coffee is a stylish cafe in a historical building (previously a Paper and Cellulose factory) with an industrial design. They roast their own coffee beans that you can buy on the spot. So on your way from the main street to the cafe, you can already smell the aroma of freshly brewed coffee that greets you as you enter.
I enjoy coming here in autumn and winter as they have plenty of natural light on the ground floor, and you can just sit by the window and enjoy a good cup of coffee in a cosy setting.
Speaking of coffee, I like their House Blend, but you can always ask the staff for recommendations. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate about coffee and is eager to share their expertise.
Side note: Paper Mill Coffee also has a branch in the Viru Keskus food court.

"Kurze" in Tallinn is literally a broth bar. It serves alcohol too, but it's specialised in soups -- genuine and nourishing. They also play techno!

"Gotsu" is one of not many Korean restaurants in Tallinn. If you like spicy food, I definitely recommend going for the burning kimchi stew. Pets allowed.

"Boheem Kohvik" is one of my favorite spots in Tallinn for lunch. This nice and quiet restaurant makes, in my opinion, the best Caesar's salad in the city.

"Hell Hunt" is my go-to option when I just can't come up with any ideas of where to go for a drink or food in Tallinn. A chaotic, cheerful pub/restaurant.
