Shady, green and peaceful Cosmonaut Park is situated amid a public transport artery. Despite the hustle and bustle of its location, it is a tranquil spot where birdsong fills the air. The park can inspire you and let your mind rest.
Tashkent residents from every district come for leisure to this park. Those with families walk with children or strollers. Cosmonaut Park is a popular place for couples. Having a date in a beautiful park and sitting on the bench certainly creates romantic vibes. Yet, there are some solo visitors who read a book or just rest on a bench.
I am one of those visitors who prefers staying isolated and remaining alone with my thoughts. Once in a while, I come to relax and clean my mind from unnecessary thoughts. The clean air and park idyll helps.
One more reason to walk here is the book bazar. It is right along the street next to the park. This well- known open-air bookstore has existed since Soviet times. You can buy modern publications as well as antique books from the open counters.
Along with the mind-healing process, my highlight of the park is the ice-cream. The options are limited to vanilla, chocolate and fruit flavors, but the taste is great. It's in fact my favorite ice-cream place. Isn’t having an ice-cream machine in the park exciting?
One day I will invite my significant other for a romantic date in Cosmonaut Park. For now, I enjoy being here with my thoughts.
