Samarkand Darvoza is a relatively large mall. As you enter the building there is a Macro supermarket with plenty of food and groceries on shelves. On the same floor you can find the store Respect. What makes it remarkable is that all their clothes are made in Uzbekistan. That is why the company’s trademark is "Made in Motherland". I like the brand’s style: their clothes are made of cotton and the prices are low.
The next two floors are department stores, offering garments as well as beauty and personal care products by international companies. It is not the cheapest destination to do shopping. I rarely buy clothes here, but the window-shopping leaves me satisfied.
The recreation section for younger visitors is located on the 4th floor. Your kids will love staying here while you'ree busy with shopping. On the same floor, there is a nice cinema hall. Get some popcorn and enjoy the movie. No English-language films though, it's the best time to improve your Russian skills.
The food court is on the last floor. This is my favorite part, as there are many meal options, mostly fast food though. It is busy and finding a free table can take some time.
I almost forgot to mention the basement shop area, Home Market hypermarket. Here you can buy everything for your home.
It is well known that after some shopping therapy you feel better emotionally and more cheerful. Hopefully, Samarkand Darvoza will boost your mood, as it always does mine.
