Lisi lake is one of the favorite spots of us Tbilisi locals. It is a multifunctional place where you can spend your day in a variety of ways. It is not very far away from the city center but feels like you are much further.
Around the lake there's different infrastructure arranged; here you can see walking and cycling paths, open cafe/bars, children's entertainment and spaces with sports equipment. You can rent a bicycle and ride it around the lake. Here there's also entertainment for children and in the summer you can swim in the lake or take a sunbath on the beach.
In the wintertime, most of the time it's cold and windy here, but from spring, when the sun starts to shine and it's warm, almost the whole city goes there with different wishes. Some just want to lie on the beach and take a sunbath, maybe swim, work out, have a walk with their kids or pets; some eat in the fresh air, just lying in nature and relaxing. And of course there's the Lisi sulfur baths, where you can take sulfur baths for extra relaxation.
During the summer, Lisi lake is full of people, especially on the weekends. If you want to find a quiet spot around the lake, it is very easy, you just need to take a walk in the forest, where you can find many picnic areas around. It's a great spot for spending a day with friends family, or maybe just yourself.
