Located in Levinsky Market, Fifi's seems to be one of the most surprising Asian restaurants in Tel Aviv. Israel is well known for its great Middle-Eastern Mediterranean cuisine, but it's not so easy to find an authentic Asian place - in comparison to other cosmopolitan cities like New York and London at least.Â
Fifi's is a small restaurant with only 4 tables, which means that you will probably have to wait to be seated. Recently, Fifi's people placed a Tuk-Tuk (Thai Taxi) in front of the restaurant, which added a few more special seats.Â
The food in Fifi's is based on Thai/Vietnamese cuisine, which means fresh, spicy and colorful dishes. When we got there we tried the Tom Yam soup and "Mother of Dragons" - an exotic salad with pickled purple (!!!) egg - it was delicious. We drank Chinese beer and some sake and enjoyed the cool vibes of the place.Â
The prices in Fifi's are affordable, the service is great and the atmosphere is super fun. It feels like you are in the streets of Bangkok and not in Tel Aviv when you visit Fifi's!Â
