""Rabin Square" is one of the most important sites in Tel Aviv. It's not your typical touristy site, but more of a nice place that locals like."

Rabin square is one of the most important sites in Tel Aviv, located in front of the City hall, in the heart of Tel Aviv. The square is most known for hosting some of Israel's major events, starting with sport championships celebrations, national holidays, to political rallies. The square got its name after a tragic assassination of the Israeli Prime Minister, Itzhak Rabin, at the political rally in 1995.

The square's central location makes it a great starting point for the night. The bars and restaurants around it are great but not too noisy. It is not your typical touristy site, but more of a nice place, that locals like.

The secret that makes The Rabin square such a magical place is the special events. Those events are arranged by either the city, or sometimes just by some random locals who post it online. The special events are usually set for the spring/summer times, and they range from a food fair to a huge pillow fighting party, yes that happens, 5,000 people hit each other with pillows, it's awesome. The secret-keepers for the dates of these events are the people, so be sure to ask. One famous event is the 4th of July water war. The Americans who live in the city started that great tradition, and the Israelis embraced it.
