If you visit Tirana without venturing up the Dajti mountain, you are really doing it wrong! Heading up the mountain on a hot summer day to escape the blazing heat of Tirana is one of my absolute favourite activities, but it's definitely not exclusive to Summer; the Dajti provides an incredible view over the city, and I'd say taking the trip is always always worth it.
For me, no mountain day is complete without a stop at 'Balkoni i Dajtit'. It is positioned right next to the cable car station, so you really can't miss it. The restaurant has a full glass wall overlooking the city, so you get amazing views while you eat, and their food is always lovely too. I generally end up choosing some more traditional plates (a personal favourite is the handmade Jufka with veal), but I have heard on good authority that their Pizzas and salads are also very tasty.
Once you have finished your meal, I would also suggest that you step outside. They have built a viewing platform to the right of the restaurant, just out over the edge of the mountain—here, you can get some great Insta-worthy pics!
