Since I was a child I have loved going up the Dajti mountain and looking over Tirana. Each time I go, it is co clear how Tirana is changing and evolving so quickly, and it's a truly special experience.
Whether you make the journey by car, foot or cable car via the Dajti Ekspres, I can promise you the views are absolutely worth it.
My favourite thing to do once up the mountain is to take a slow stroll over to, in my opinion, the best viewpoint. From here you can see the whole city, and if you're lucky on a clear day you can even see the sea! You'll see evidence of barbeques through faint scorch marks on the floor here, and it is fun to think of all the people who have shared the experience with friends and family while taking in the stunning view.
If you'd like to, you can bring up a barbeque or picnic yourselves and eat up at the viewpoint, or alternatively, there are a number of lovely restaurants accessible by minibus which will pick you up near the cable car station.
I always feel relaxed and refreshed after visiting the Dajti and spending some time up at the viewpoint, and I am sure you will too!
