The BEST steak.
This could be my whole article. The BEST steak, however, I will elaborate!
New York Grill, situated about halfway up the Dajti mountain on the outskirts of Tirana, is the place to go for anyone who loves a steak and all the trimmings that come with it. I’ll say it again, this was, honestly, the best steak I have ever eaten. The experience was amazing, we ordered a Tomahawk to share, and it was served to us sizzling on a hot iron platter, so once we cut our pieces, we were able to continue cooking that particular morsel to our own preference. We were also served Albanian-style oven-cooked potatoes, cornbread, and grilled veggies, which are always a favourite.
While the restaurant is pretty huge, it still carries a fun old-style family feel, with huge spacious tables alongside little nooks where you feel like you’re in a private room. Outside there is a pool for the summer months and even a play area outside for kids, and the views, the views are to die for.
As New York Grill is at that slightly higher altitude, the air is fresh and cooler than the rest of Tirana in Summer, so if you have a craving for good quality beef, and need a break from the hustle and bustle of the centre, make sure you take a trip up to New York Grill.
