In times when big businesses flourish and are always chosen by consumers, my attention was caught by a small shop with a lovely lady working inside. I've always been drawn to quiet little places, and this one was a constant presence every time I passed through that neighborhood.
Tirana is known for its fancy pastry shops and lounges, but this particular shop meant more to me than all of those—it represented the essence of the people who never left Tirana. Nila, a charming lady, stands behind the counter of this shop that has been around since 1994. She creates a variety of desserts and pastries on-site. Stepping into the shop, you're greeted with a warm smile and an array of pastries displayed inside the glass counter, each appealing to the eye.
I'm not someone who particularly indulges in sweets, but the meringue pastry from there brings back nostalgic memories of my childhood days that I'll never forget.
