Zgara Korçare is a traditional Albanian chain restaurant. It always brings to mind the memories of my Bachelor at the University of Tirana. I remember when my friends and I had our long breaks between classes at the University. Then we would definitely end up at Zgara Korçare quite often to have one beer and a few qoftes, pomme frites and xaxiqi. We would eat very fast and still we would enjoy it, thinking of having done something crazy and not being "nerds". That was fun for us.
Nowadays things have changed, I go to Zgara Korçare with friends who like to drink Korca's beer. I love the salad with vegetables in particular. And I mostly like the Zgara Korçare location close to my place because of its decoration and the family environment that it provides. In addition, Zgara Koçrare means Korça's grill, thus Zgara Korçare is famous for its grilled meat, which Albanians like a lot.
I always take my foreign friends there when visiting Tirana and they've all liked it.
