Manhattan is THE historical underground pub in Torino.
Almost every evening (especially from Thursday to Saturday), you can see some local cover bands playing rock. Often they are amateurs (so do not expect any professional musician gig), but the atmosphere is easy-going and friendly.
You’ll find easygoing food for easygoing people. I like it a lot!
Portions are really big and cheap. If you are a group of people, it’s nice to order the pizza: they serve it on a big wooden plank (the waiters are amazing acrobats because they’re able to run with a large pizza 1.5m big, carried on top of their heads).
If you get pasta, they will bring it directly on the frying pan to share. I like that a lot as well!
And of course, being a pub, you can drink literally rivers of beer (and wine).
I love it in the summer because they have a very nice open-air yard (better to book if you want to be sure to eat outside while listening to live music).
