If you are in the mood to chilling in a cozy, friendly and a bit fancy place in the late afternoon, this is the place for you!
The “Carlino Ubriaco” is in the neighborhood of “San Donato”, which I really like. I work in this area and sometimes after work come to taste a good glass of wine with some appetizers.
What in my opinion make this place special is that you always have the impression you are welcome. They really take care that you really feel good while you are there!
It’s an amazing place to drink really good wine; you have a huge choice but I suggest you ask the owner (that is always kind and smiling) to help you with the choice.
I like the sparkling white wine a lot, but they also have excellent red Piedmont wine (like Barbera, Dolcetto, Ruchè, Barbaresco).
The very nice thing about Carlino Ubriaco is that they also have local tapas, so you can taste some typical local food like “Acciughe al Verde” that are anchovies made according to a traditional recipe, or some local cheese or salami.
If you pass by around 19:00, there is a chance I'll meet you there!
Last tip: there are few tables -- just book if you want to be sure you have somewhere to sit!
